Rehab Treatment Blog

It sounds like the drug rehab world is living in the dark ages. Ninety-nine percent of the drug alcohol treatment industry are based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. And, although it is “spirituality”, it is still based on God. There is no doubt the 12 steps are a very successful way to stay clean and sober. However, it does not seem politically correct to have a fatal disease, like alcoholism, treated with a heavy dose of religion. Non religious, non 12 step drug rehabs have seen the light. They know science and therapy are preferable to preaching God as the answer to their patient’s problems.
