Dual diagnosis rehab treatment is done in many drug rehabs in Malibu. It is good to see that drug centers are now treating dual diagnosis. Earlier, dual diagnosis patients faced a two fold problem:
First, it is very hard to diagnose dual diagnosis, a condition where a substance addict also suffers from mental illness, as symptoms of both independent conditions are very similar.
Second, even if the condition was diagnosed, very few drug rehabs actually treated such patients. Drug centers traditionally focused on substance addicts and mental illness patients were being treated at hospitals.
It is good news to know that drug centers are now catering to this segment of patients that also need help.
