Alcohol Rehabilitation In A Non Traditional 12 – Step Program

Alcohol Rehabilitation is the process of getting rid of a person’s dependence on alcohol. A person can be dependent on alcohol in two ways – physical and psychological. Human brain often gets used to the presence of a substance in a body if that substance is abused. For example, if a person drinks a lot, his or her brain will get used to the extra alcohol present in the body and when the alcohol is absent, the person will feel uncomfortable until he/she drinks again. Psychological dependence usually means that a person does not feel “complete” or “normal” unless/he has had alcohol. Various treatment techniques like the non 12 step program helps patients deal with physical and psychological depends on alcohol.
